Celebrating World School Milk Day 2025
On Wednesday 24th September, schools across the UK joined millions of children worldwide to celebrate World School Milk Day – a global event that highlights the health and social benefits of drinking milk in schools.
This year’s celebrations were extra special for two lucky schools, as pupils at St Nicholas C of E Primary School and Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School enjoyed a surprise visit from much-loved children’s TV personality Mr. Bloom from Cbeebies. 🌱✨ With songs, laughter, and interactive activities, the day was filled with fun and smiles that pupils and teachers alike will remember for years to come.

As part of the day, we ran two national competitions:
School Milk Bottle Design Competition – where pupils were challenged to get creative with their milk bottle designs. Congratulations to Bella from Frances Olive Anderson Primary School, whose imaginative artwork won her school an Olympic athlete visit! 🏆

Parent #MilkMoments Competition – where parents shared special family moments with milk on social media. Huge congratulations to @lambertwebster, who scooped a £500 Buyagift voucher to enjoy with their family. 🎁

A Global Celebration 🌍
World School Milk Day, launched by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, is celebrated in more than 30 countries each year. It shines a spotlight on the importance of milk in children’s diets, providing calcium, protein and vitamins to support healthy growth and development.
At Cool Milk, we’re proud to play our part in this celebration, supplying free and subsidised school milk to children across the UK and helping to make milk time a special part of the school day. 💙
Looking Ahead 🚀
Thank you to every school, pupil, parent and partner who joined in with this year’s World School Milk Day – your enthusiasm and creativity made it one to remember.
✨ Don’t forget, nominations are now open for our next Milk Hero. Could your school or nursery be the one we celebrate next?
